The Department for International Trade (DIT) has launched the UK Investment Support Directory, which is an online tool to help international investors.
The DIT state that the new tool will help potential investors, connecting them with more than 300 businesses and experts who can assist them with UK operations, whether they are setting up or expanding their business.
The directory is being hosted on the gov.uk website, and it is to facilitate international investors to connect with businesses that provide relevant and key services.
Potential investors are able to modify their search to suit their needs, whether that is by region, language expertise, or by business experience.
Mark Slaughter, Director General for Investment, said: “The UK Investment Support Directory is a smart, new digital tool that innovatively connects investors to private sector expertise.
“This interactive platform allows investors to tailor their searches to find the specific advice they are looking for or generates a range of businesses if they aren’t sure what they’re looking for yet.”
The DIT highlighted the aim of the platform, stating that they are supporting the investment process by making information more accessible and is a part of their wider aim to increase foreign direct investment (FDI) into the UK.
